Canada – From Québec to Toronto

Canada – From Québec to Toronto

In the morning after our breakfast we drive directly to the centre of Québec where we found a parking space. The parking cost for cars 24 hours’ costs 15 Canadian Dollar. For motorhome 70 Bugs. The whole day we walked inside Vieux-Québec, the old city of Québec and enjoyed the French flair and the cute alleys. We had a really good dinner in the restaurant “Le Lapin Sauté”, a pretty French restaurant with French music.

On the next day, we drove to the Montmorency waterfall. Unfortunately, we had really heavy rain. Anyway, we walked on a bridge which is located above the waterfall. After a small quarrel with a coach driver we drive to the capital of Canada, Ottawa. As we get out of our motorhome on our campsite, which wasn’t pretty, the weather was really warm.

Early in the morning we drive to the Algonquin National Park. The National Park is over 7700 km2 big and has over 2400 lakes to offer. Arrived on the camping site Mew Lake and installed we walked on one of the many hiking routs in the park. The nature is beautyful and we enjoyed the fresh air, the intensive forest smell, and the stunning view. Sadly, we still didn’t saw a bear or a moose. But we saw a beaver which came out from his dam. Today we had delicious spareribs from the fireplace and as dessert we grilled our last marshmallows. At night, we saw a beautyful starry sky were we also saw some shooting stars and made some pictures.

On the last day with our motorhome we drive to the Niagara Falls. The waterfalls were stunning also when this both waterfalls from the Canadian and American site are not the biggest ones. Sadly, all around the Niagara Falls is really overbuild and looks more like Lase Vegas then nature. On the evening, we found a nice camping site “Milton High”. We cleaned our motor home and packed our staff. On the next day, we had to hand over our motor home by Cruise Canada next to the camping site.

We hand over our motor home and took a cap to our hotel One King West on the King Street in downtown of Toronto. After check-in, we go to the Hard Rock Café to had some lunch. This is located on the “Time Square” of Canada. We walked inside the “Entertainment Quarter” to the CN Tower. The CN Tower is the town’s landmark and 553 meters high. Higher than the Eiffel Tower in Paris. Up to the lookout of the tower goes a lift outside the tower with a glass ground and glass wall. It was a strange feeling but it’s worth it. On the evening, we had to go shopping and it get out of hand while Toronto had so many awesome shops to offer. We had dinner on the King Street and we had all a good piece of meat.
Toronto is a wonderful and likeable city. It was a pity that we had only one day in this city. In Downtown, you can walk the most ways. Other way you can also take a tram, metro or cap.

On our last day in Canada I had again some pancakes and we walked to the St. Lawrence Market. This food marked is inside an old building and it is worth it to walk inside there. Later we walked to the distillery quarter. This quarter is really nice with its buildings. It has no distilleries anymore but a lot of shops, pubs and cafés. With a cap, we were going to the airport where we had to checked-in two luggage’s with overweight which we had to pay. I never had so much stuff in my luggage.

The east of Canada is on this time of the year in October with the colourful Indian Summer beautyful to view. Unfortunately, a lot of camping sites, shows and attractions where closed or just limited open. I will definitely visit Canada again in summer to visit and do all these things which this beautyful country has to offer.
